Welcome to the fourth class in the Pattern Toolkit series...

In this class, from the Pattern Toolkit series, learn three ways  to quickly, and efficiently, create scallop motifs in Affinity Designer V2.

In this class, you will learn..

The Motifs

In this class, you will learn how to create...

  • How to break up a single ellipse, using the Node Tool, and put it back together as a scallop motif.

  • We'll look at how to use the Vector Flood Fill tool and multiple ellipses to create a scallop.

  • How to use the Vector Flood Fill Tool to stack fills within a tiled scallop motif to quickly create variation in your design.

  • How to turn a single cloud shape in to a unique scallop motif with some help from snapping and the Shape Builder tool.

  • With all three motifs, we'll look at how the size of the shape you start with determines the scale of the final motif and pattern.

  • How to test your patterns using the Gradient tool.

  • As a bonus, I'll show you how to take a single scallop motif and turn it in to an ogee
