The Motifs

In this class, you will learn how to create...

  • How to break apart a built in ellipse shape and put it back together to create the first half of a symmetrical ogee motif.

  • How to turn a single wavy line in to an ogee shape that stretches top to bottom on the canvas and can easily be tiled across, or used as a template.

  • How to harness the power of the shape builder tool and turn a series of six built in ellipse shapes in to a single ogee motif.

  • With all three motifs, we'll look at how the size of the shape you start with determines the scale of the final motif and pattern.
